After 24 years in the WWE, John Cena is set to retire from the ring.
The wrestler and actor announced that his final match will take place on Saturday, December 13, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
As of now, his opponent hasn’t been officially confirmed, but there are murmurs that it could be Gunther, making his WWE debut against Cena.

I’m far from perfect, but I aim to be someone whose words mean something.” He added, “12/13/25 will mark my last match. I’m deeply grateful for every moment WWE gave me and I can’t wait to see everyone one last time.”

Upcoming Movie Projects for John Cena
With wrestling taking a back seat, Cena is diving deeper into acting. Besides his work in “Peacemaker,” here are a few films to look out for:
“Coyote vs. Acme” is a live-action/animation hybrid featuring a lawsuit from Wile E. Coyote against Acme for failed products. Quite the courtroom drama.
“Matchbox” sees Cena as a former soldier who reunites with a childhood friend, only to find himself kidnapped. The cast includes Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, and others.
“Younger Brother” features Cena and comedian Eric Andre, telling the story of a real estate agent whose orderly life is disrupted by his eccentric younger sibling. The Netflix film also stars Michelle Monaghan and others.
