Tiger Woods Celebrates 50th Birthday in Style

Tiger Woods is throwing quite the bash for his 50th birthday. He hit this milestone on December 30 and is set to celebrate at The Breakers, a luxury resort located in Palm Beach, Florida. The event promises a star-studded guest list, live performances, a specific dress code, and a menu reminiscent of what you’d find at the Masters.

This party is backed by Woods’ TGR Foundation and has a theme, sponsored by EY US, the well-known accounting firm.

“RED: Celebrating Legacy Presented by EY US” will host around 300 guests from Woods’ circle, where attendees are encouraged to don “a touch of red,” a nod to the signature color Woods typically wears during final rounds.

Adding to the festivities, Jon Bon Jovi is slated to perform at this celebration.

The food will reflect some of Woods’ favorite dishes from past dinners he hosted for Masters champions. Guests can expect to enjoy steak and chicken fajitas, stuffed jalapeños, crab cakes, porterhouse steak, cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes—it sounds, I think, pretty delicious.

It’s rumored that PGA pro Justin Thomas and Woods’ long-time caddy Joe LaCava will be among those invited. Also on the guest list are notable figures like Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and Falcons owner Arthur Blank, who has a stake in the PGA Tour.

Interestingly, this birthday celebration doubles as the kickoff for the nonprofit’s 30th-anniversary campaign.

According to TGR Foundation CEO Cindy Cote, “This is much more than a birthday party; it’s a culmination of a year’s work and a sign of our future direction.”

Cote emphasized that the carefully curated guest list was intended to keep the atmosphere intimate: “We could have made it bigger, but we felt it was essential to honor those who have significantly contributed to Tiger’s vision.”

In related news, the TGL, an indoor team golf league founded by Woods and Rory McIlroy, revealed its plans to introduce a women’s league, WTGL, by the end of 2026.

Woods himself has faced some challenges recently, undergoing surgery for a torn Achilles tendon back in March and then hip surgery the following October. Before these surgeries, he missed qualifying for the 2024 British Open Championship.
