The search for the missing person has intensified as Sudiksha Conanki, a student at the University of Pittsburgh, is missing. He was last seen early on March 6th on the beach outside the five-star RIU Republica resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Authorities are chasing the lead after surveillance video showed Conanki's last known movement before she disappeared. The video, obtained by Noticias Sin, captured a group walking towards the beach near Lux Retreat around 4:15am.

A male friend who was with Conanki when she lost her Under investigation. Police say he was in the waters of the same beach, and according to a translation of the Spanish statement, they are asking him questions in an attempt to confirm the events of his version.

Authorities have not named the suspect in an ongoing investigation. On his release Tuesday, Dominican National Police said it was “reviewing targeted individuals who were close to the victim at the time they lost their loss.”

Who is Sudiksha Konanki?

Conanki, 20, is a junior and ready-made student at the University of Pittsburgh.

Conanki was originally from India. Authorities say he is a legal permanent resident of Loudoun County, near Washington, D.C.

She is 5 feet tall, 3 inches tall, has dark hair and brown eyes. She was finally wearing a brown bikini, hoop earrings, a bracelet and anklet.

Her clothes were found on the beach last seen on Tuesday.

She was on vacation with five other female college students at the University of Pittsburgh, officials said, before losing her loss in the early morning hours of March 6.

Conanki's final place

Conanki was seen walking down the beach with six of them before her loss, three Dominican officials told ABC News.

Most people in the group returned to the hotel that night, but one person was behind with Conanki in the early hours of March 6th, ABC News reported, citing an investigation police report.

Authorities in the Dominican Republic said Conanki and the man went for a swim and were caught up in a huge wave.

Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman told Fox News that his office “pursuing every angle,” and told Fox News, “I want to turn all the rocks over” before closing on what happened to Conanki.

Several agencies are currently involved in search efforts. Dominican Republic Civil Defensefirefighters, national police, Dominican Navy, Indian embassy of the Dominican Republic.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has filed a yellow notice issued by Interpol.

The University of Pittsburgh Police Department also provided an update Monday and said it was working with the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in its search efforts for Conanki.

The hotel said the team “provided full support to the authorities in the search and emergency protocols have been activated so that all necessary measures are taken.”

The joint investigation into the loss of Conanki's Disappearance is being conducted by the US Embassy of the Dominican Republic, the Dominican National Police and the Dominican Public Prosecutor's Office. The FBI is also supporting it.
