A female Secret Service agent gained significant attention alongside President Trump in a memorable image where he raised his fist and encouraged, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” This moment came after her colleagues highlighted a prior assassination attempt on Trump in upstate New York last year.
The 35-year-old agent, whose name has been withheld for security reasons, grew up in Half Moon, a small town in Saratoga County with roughly 25,000 residents.
She attended Mechanicville High School, where she was an active player on the soccer and basketball teams, graduating in 2007.
She later pursued her studies at SUNY Albany, earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and government, along with a graduate certificate in public sector management and a master’s degree in homeland security.
She began her career with the Secret Service in 2009 as an administrative assistant while still attending college. She also had a brief stint working in the state’s automotive division as a data analyst, according to public records.
“She’s a solid agent,” one of her colleagues remarked.
In a notable photograph from the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, the agent can be seen reaching toward Trump, bending under his arm, as an assailant named Thomas Matthew Crooks aimed an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle during a chaotic moment.
The scene also included two male agents, one of whom was Sean Curran, who had been leading Trump’s protection team and was subsequently promoted to Secret Service Director.
On Thursday, the Secret Service announced it had suspended six agents related to a fee for securing the campaign rally, yet sources confirmed that none of the three agents involved in the famous photos, including the woman, faced disciplinary actions.
The female agent received some backlash after the assassination attempt, with tech mogul Elon Musk questioning her size and ability to protect the tall Trump.
“Having a smaller person as a body shield for a larger individual is ineffective,” Musk commented on social media.
However, Trump defended her in a speech two weeks later, expressing admiration for the agent’s dedication: “To my right there was a woman protecting me. Beautiful. She was protecting everything to me. She wanted to take the bullet,” he noted, as the crowd erupted in applause.
The Secret Service has not issued any comments on the matter.
