What we should asking ourselves mysterious cellular outage

Many Americans across the country woke up Thursday morning without cell phone service, but the cause of the outage has yet to be explained.

AT&T customers were most affected, with 50,000 outages officially reported at 7 a.m. ET, but some Verizon and T-Mobile customers were affected as well. .

Now Americans are wondering whether it was a solar flare or a major cyber attack, especially given the cyber attack on Israeli cell phone systems yesterday.

This is just a small taste of what life would be like after receiving such an attack, but a larger attack could have devastating effects.

William Forstchen, author of “One Second After,” has been warning about this for years.

“If you look at the number of attacks on our infrastructure and our military, it’s relentless,” Forstchen tells Glenn Beck. “This is just a sign of things to come,” he said, adding that people need to be prepared for cyberattacks.

“Cyberattacks could also include water systems and power grids,” Glenn said, asking Forstchen how widespread this could be.

“You can target a specific attack or you can target an overall attack, in what’s called a first-strike scenario,” Forstchen said. “Let’s say where you are, all the water is shut off for him for 48 hours, because it’s all electronically controlled.”

“It will get very bad within 24 to 48 hours,” he added.

“When you lose electricity, it becomes the basic building block,” he continues. “So everything will be fine. Water, food, medical care, everything.”
