Whataburger’s 75th Anniversary Celebration
This week marks a significant milestone for Whataburger, the cherished burger chain from Texas, as it celebrates its 75th anniversary. On Friday, August 8th, the restaurant is offering burgers for just 75 cents all day.
Describing this year’s event as “larger, better, and more intense than ever,” the beloved fast-food chain will provide a discount on the #1 or classic Whataburger from 11 AM to 8 PM local time.
However, this special deal can only be redeemed online.
A spokesperson mentioned, “This anniversary is a way to say thank you. Thank you for your trust, loyalty, and for making us part of your table.”
It’s worth noting that customers can only redeem this offer once and must be part of the chain’s rewards program to be eligible.
Additionally, Whataburger is introducing a limited edition collection of commemorative cups featuring a special design to celebrate this milestone. The 32-ounce cup was launched earlier this week and will continue to be available on August 12th and 19th.
Reflecting on the chain’s history, Stroud stated, “Whataburger’s story has always been about people. The fans who have made us part of everyday moments, the families that share meals with care and pride, and the community that has embraced us like family for 75 years.”
The anniversary celebration will culminate in a special event in Corpus Christi, Texas, the home of Whataburger, on Friday, August 8th.
This event will take place at Whataburger Field, where the Corpus Christi Hooks, an AA affiliate of the Houston Astros, will compete against the Tulsa Drillers, the AA affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fans are encouraged to wear their best orange outfits in celebration of the restaurant’s theme.
The evening will conclude with the “Dreadful Orange Fireworks Show.” Plus, every guest will receive a coupon for free honey butter chicken biscuits, a beloved item on the Whataburger menu, as they leave the event.
