Vanna White Ties the Knot with John Donaldson
Vanna White recently revealed that she married John Donaldson in a private ceremony. In a charming announcement, she shared the news, saying, “Surprise! We got married.” The couple has been together for over ten years and have long desired to formalize their relationship in this way.
White, looking radiant in a pearl-adorned white dress, was happily carried by Donaldson during the announcement. She expressed excitement about sharing this new chapter with friends and fans, stating, “Love, Vanna and John.”
In a series of images she posted online, fans could see snapshots from their lives together, including highlights from vacations and photoshoots. Various friends and well-wishers took to social media to congratulate them, including Kathy Hilton, who enthusiastically said, “Congratulations!!!! Rick and I are so happy for both of you!”
Jerry O’Connell also joined in the celebration, posting a playful shout-out that detailed an impromptu cheer of letters. Interestingly, only a month prior, White admitted that the thought of marriage had not crossed her mind lately, reflecting a sense of satisfaction with their relationship as it was. She remarked, “When you’ve been with someone for a long time, you somehow feel like you’re already married.”
Their relationship began at a mutual friend’s barbecue in 2012, where White recalled noticing Donaldson and thinking he was “really cute.” She fondly remembered the long conversation they had that night. In past interviews, she described their bond as strong—highlighting a sense of mutual respect and individuality in their partnership, saying, “He lets me be myself, and I let him be himself.”
White has two children from her previous marriage to George Santo Pietro. They were together for 12 years before amicably separating in 2002, and she shared that she’s genuinely happy in her new relationship with Donaldson.
