A “Wheel of Fortune” contestant won last night’s game, but couldn’t guess the bonus puzzle correctly.

After this episode aired, fans of the game show began to rally around the contestant, claiming that she actually named the correct answer to a puzzle, but host Pat Sajak failed to recognize it. insisted.

One contestant, a woman named Tamara, chose “What Are You Doing?” The last puzzle category. After co-host Vana White submitted both the letter the show traditionally provides and the letter of Tamara’s choice, all she was left with was “___N_NG A B___ _L_B.”

“Now, be careful what’s in there,” Sajak advised. “There’s a big letter board. If you say it loud, you can do this.”

She started by saying the word “incite,” but that didn’t move the conversation forward, so she fell silent. As her 10 seconds left approached, she came up with “Book Club” and made her prediction just before the buzzer went off.

The correct answer was “Join a book club.” Some viewers believe that’s her guess, while others hear that she “runs a book club.” In this clip, she appears to start saying something else before stating her guess.

“You were right there,” Sajak told her. “Unfortunately, I arrived a little late. By the time I got to the ‘book club’, I was running out of time.”

Fans discussed the matter on X (formerly Twitter), with some expressing that they felt Tamara had been cheated.

“Wheel of Fortune – Contestant got the puzzle right – you failed again!” one person wrote.

Another said, “Wow, I thought she said that in enough time!!! And I thought the rules were if you started before the buzzer you could finish!!” .

“On February 24, 2024, Tamara won a bonus round on Wheel of Fortune,” the complaint states. “She was already talking about a book club, and she said, ‘Join her book,’ she yelled.” So, before her time was up, she said out of her mouth to join the book club camp. Where there is fortune, they always take money from people. She gives her $50,000. She won!!! ”

The letters on the board were “P_N_ _RC__D” and the category was “creatures”. Ten seconds later, the buzzer sounded and Megan realized she had missed out on the bonus prize.

When White revealed the remaining letters and the correct answer, “Pink Orchid,” Megan realized how close she was to victory.
