“Wheel of Fortune” fans are fervently demanding justice for the contestants who appear to have been “robbed” of their rightful prize money.
Contestant Megan found herself in a tight spot when she started the bonus round puzzle on Tuesday’s episode. The high school choir director seemed to struggle with the first word of her puzzle, but she is confident with her second word, which suggests “orchid.” It seemed like it.
The letters on the board were “P_N_ _RC__D” and the category was “creatures”. Ten seconds later, the buzzer sounded and Megan realized she had missed out on the bonus prize.

When co-host Vana White revealed the remaining letters and the correct answer, “Pink Orchid,” Megan realized how close she was to winning.
“Maybe I was overthinking it,” host Pat Sajak said. “I’m thinking about the type of orchid.”
“Sorry, it didn’t work out,” he added, struggling to show her the envelope containing the $40,000 prize.

However, fans on social media were perplexed by the turn of events and claimed that she might have actually said the correct answer.
“Ladies failed the #WheelOfFortune bonus puzzle tonight. Totally said ‘Pink Orchid’ from the start,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “She said 100% pink orchid. She got robbed,” another woman shared.
“I can’t stop thinking about the Wheel of Fortune,” one person lamented. “I know she said ‘Pink Orchid.’ Am I the only one who heard that? Yes? No? That’s very strange. I’m sure that’s what she said.”
Some fans took the initiative to go the extra mile by rewatching the sequence and listening back carefully. “If you play tonight’s episode again and solve the final puzzle that just aired, you’ll clearly hear her say, ‘Pink Orchid.’ ‘You didn’t credit the winner correctly. Play it. Seriously she just said that! Pink Orchid!” one user claimed.
Other viewers claimed that even after rewatching, they simply agreed with the show’s ending. “Okay, total retraction. I thought she said ‘Pink Orchid’ and she said ‘Something Orchid.'” Literally rewind 14 times. Sorry lol,” they wrote. “When she went back and listened for the 10th time, she realized she was saying ‘Something Orchid’ and not Pink Orchid. She certainly sounded like that, but with a sad loss… I did,” another person echoed.

Others pointed out that if Megan’s first word had been “pink,” she would have said something to Sajak.
Despite missing out on the generous bonus, Megan didn’t walk away completely empty-handed. She still secured her $14,007.
