2025 World Series Preview
The 2025 World Series is set to feature the Los Angeles Dodgers facing off against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Congratulations to George Springer! The Toronto outfielder hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, which propelled the Blue Jays to a 4-3 win over the Seattle Mariners in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series. This marks Toronto’s first trip to the World Series since they won consecutive championships in 1992 and 1993, defeating the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies, respectively.
Indeed, Toronto’s last World Series at-bat is remembered for one incredibly significant moment. It was none other than Joe Carter’s legendary home run off Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams, which clinched the title.
“Touch everyone, Joe! You’ll never hit a better home run in your life!”
