While many people receive Social Security, not everyone understands the details regarding how their payments are calculated, when they’ll arrive, or how they might change in the future.

When will Social Security Checks be issued in August 2025?

The Social Security Administration has set specific dates in August based on your date of birth.
For instance, if your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th, you’ll receive your payment on the second Wednesday of the month, which is August 13th.
If you were born between the 11th and the 20th, your payment will be sent on the third Wednesday—August 20th.
For those with birthdays from the 21st to the 31st, the fourth Wednesday, August 27th, is when your payment will come.
As for Supplementary Security Income (SSI) recipients, your next payment is scheduled for August 29th. If you began receiving Social Security prior to May 1997, or if you get both SSI and Social Security, those payments will arrive on August 1st.
