Where are you? Delia Smith no longer on Norwich’s board after takeover | Norwich City

Norfolk Holdings has completed the acquisition of Norwich's majority, with Delia Smith and her husband Michael Win Jones not part of the club's board of directors.

In August it was announced that Norfolk Holdings, led by Milwaukee Brewer owner Mark Atanacio, is due to increase its shares to about 85%.

A statement from Norwich on Monday evening confirmed a change in the majority shareholders, with longtime duo Smith and Win Jones holding a 10% stake in the Championship club.

“The Norwich City Football Club is able to confirm that Norfolk Holdings, a group led by Mark Athanacio, has completed a one-to-one conversion of the entire D-set share into common stock,” the statement said.

“As a result, Norfolk Holdings currently owns approximately 85% of the club's common stock capital, with Delia Smith and Michael Win Jones holding 10%, with the rest being held by other shareholders of the club.

“The club's board of directors consists of Mark Atanacio, Richard Ressler, Tom Smith and Zoe Weber.”

Celebrity chefs Smith and Win Jones have been Norwich's shareholders since 1996, while Atanacio bought a 15.9% stake in 2022.

Last April, it rose to 40.4%, and Attanasio's Norfolk Holdings Group is currently 11th in the Championship, but still remains in the playoff mix despite a single win at 5.

Smith's rally screaming “I have you” and “Where are you?” It was one of the most famous speeches of the Premier League era at halftime during Norwich's clash with Manchester City in February 2005.

Norwich's then majority shareholders took the field on the microphone as they watched her side return 2-2 after taking a two-goal lead. Smith's appeal to weapons did not inspire the Canary's second half winner.
