Leah Remini Shares Update on Friendship with Jennifer Lopez

Leah Remini recently opened up about her relationship with Jennifer Lopez following their mutual decision to divorce their respective partners in August 2024. The actress mentioned that they resumed communication during this time.

“We send each other messages of support,” Remini shared, as she reflected on their rekindled friendship in an interview released on Wednesday.

She emphasized that while their conversations may not happen as frequently as before, it doesn’t diminish the bond they share. “Friendship can ebb and flow. That doesn’t mean we’re at odds,” she explained.

Remini, 54, filed for divorce from Angelo Pagan on August 29, after 21 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Meanwhile, Lopez officially ended her marriage to Ben Affleck on August 20, 2024, having previously separated from him in April of that year.

Interestingly, rumors circulated about a rift between Lopez and Remini after the former Scientologist missed Lopez’s wedding to Affleck in 2022. Reports at the time suggested that Remini was preoccupied with her daughter’s college preparations, but sources later revealed she had reservations about Lopez’s decision to marry Affleck based on past experiences.

Insiders claimed Remini cautioned Lopez about Affleck, labeling him as “selfish” and “not fully committed as a partner.” This reportedly led to some tension, with Lopez upset and cutting ties for a while. However, it appears they have since reconciled and are supporting each other in their new chapters.
