Get ready for a night filled with humor, anecdotes, and possibly a few rants.

On December 7th, Conan O’Brien and Stephen Colbert will perform at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for a special one-night show honoring O’Brien’s remarkable career.

They’ll likely touch on highlights from O’Brien’s impressive background, including his time hosting Late Night and the Oscars, as well as writing for iconic shows like Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. Oh, and don’t forget his receipt of the Mark Twain Award for American Humor.

But you can expect more than just a retrospective on Conan’s career. Given their long-standing relationship—Colbert even offered to help write for Late Night back in the ’90s—there’s a good chance he’ll dive into some lighter, perhaps uncomfortable topics. Think playful jabs about Jay Leno’s critiques of O’Brien’s Tonight Show or the sudden cancellation of Colbert’s Late Show.

This might be the perfect comedy event for you, and tickets are on sale now.

As of now, the lowest ticket price we found starts at $217, which includes fees from Vivid Seats.

If you’re looking for seats in the lower-level orchestra, expect to pay around $300, fees included.

Before their night in Newark, Colbert recently reminisced about his show “Strangers with Candy,” which he featured at the 2025 New York Comedy Festival in early August, alongside co-stars Amy Sedaris and Paul Dinero.

This event will conclude on Saturday, November 8th, at City Hall in New York City.

For a bit of context, “Strangers with Candy” is a quirky sitcom starring Sedaris as Jerry Blank, a 46-year-old high school freshman navigating the awkwardness of teen life, and features Colbert as Chuck Nobre, a secret history teacher. Dinero plays Jeffrey Jelinek, an art teacher.

Currently, Conan is in theaters starring in the A24 thriller If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, alongside Rose Byrne and A$AP Rocky.
