Similar to the charming setting of Gilmore Girls, Netflix’s new series Four Seasons brings to life cozy spaces and uplifting moments.
However, while Gilmore Girls was filmed in a fictional town, Four Seasons, featuring Tina Fey, Colman Domingo, and Will Forte, takes place in specific locations that make it feel more grounded. Sorry, Connecticut, but this isn’t quite Stars Hollow.
As fans have tuned in to enjoy Fey’s latest comedy, they often express a common sentiment: watching the lush landscapes, sandy beaches, vibrant autumn leaves, and snowy vistas makes them think, “I want to go there.”
The first two episodes—spring and summer—are primarily set in the New York area, with seasons beautifully depicted around Orange County.

Where was Four Seasons shot?
Thanks to social media posts and interviews, we know plenty about the picturesque locations featured in the show, with something to offer all year round, aligning with the story’s seasonal themes.
Spring:
The opening episodes take place in New York City, where characters Jack (Forte) and Kate (Fey) venture from their apartment to pick up Danny (Domingo) and Claude (Marco Carbani). Their journey leads them to Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kelly Kenny Silver)’s beautiful lakeside home in Hudson Valley, filmed in places like Cold Spring, Fishkill, and Newburgh.
Summer:
Episodes three and four showcase a tropical getaway. Here, we meet Nick’s adventurous new girlfriend, Ginny (Erica Henningsen), who leads the group to an eco resort. The scenes reflecting the allure of Puerto Rico were filmed on Palomino Island, known for its stunning reefs and cays.
But, as those who watched know, the characters soon abandon the eco resort for El Coronado Hotel, where they encounter Anne, who was disinvited due to Nick and Ginny’s romance. This segment was shot at El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, boasting beach access and picturesque views—an ideal backdrop for their escapade.
Autumn:
Episodes five and six, focusing on fall, feature visits to Lila (Julia Lester) and Beth (Ashlyn Maddox) at their parents’ college. Filmed at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, the school might not be named directly, but it shares ties to Max’s fictional Essex College from Female College Student’s Sex Life, co-created by Mindy Kaling, a longtime collaborator.
These episodes also ventured to Hudson Valley, particularly Beacon, where memorable scenes unfold as Kate, Jack, Danny, and Claude stroll through their old college town, including its charming downtown florist, Raven Rose.
Winter:
If you’re itching to hit the slopes after witnessing the winter scenes, Mount Peter in Warwick, New York offers a chance to replicate the fun seen on the show. While Nick and Ginny enjoy winter away from the group, most of the cast filmed at a nearby ski resort, perfect for a day trip from the city.
Reportedly filmed last November, the winter scenes bring to life the seasonal embrace of Mount Peter, typically welcoming skiers from December to March. While slopes may not be open now, it’s never too early to plan your next ski adventure. Activities like tubing and snowboarding ensure there’s something for everyone.
It seems like visiting the filming locations of Four Seasons might just become a popular trend. So, why not jump on this idea while it’s fresh?
