White Dudes for Harris unveils eight-figure swing-state campaign

A group of White Dudes supporting Harris launched a new $10 million ad campaign on Thursday, with the first ads targeting white men in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

of Spots longer than 1 minute While addressing former President Trump's hold on the white male vote, they are also seeking to appeal to white male voters who are disillusioned with Trump and his campaign.

“They've been fooling us all this time, but if I'm not going to get on the MAGA train, where am I going to go?” the narrator says. “That's when I realized this isn't about picking a team. This is about who has a plan to make life better for me and my family.”

The ad goes on to say that Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), are “actually talking to people like us.”

Politico was first to report on the ad.

The effort comes after the group was launched in July after Harris replaced President Biden as the top Democratic candidate and raised more than $4 million in its first organizing call that month.

“Donald Trump has been filling the minds of many white men in this country with lies for too long, and in the months since we launched White Dudes for Harris, we've learned that there are people out there who are truly hungry for an alternative,” the group's founder, Ross Morales Lockett, said in a statement Thursday.

Polls show that Trump generally has a lead among white men, but Harris appears to be making inroads with that demographic. A national NPR/PBS News/Marist poll released earlier this month found that Harris trails Trump among non-college-educated white men, 35 percent to 63 percent. But among college-educated white men, Harris leads Trump, 55 percent to 45 percent.
