White House Celebrates Holy Week with Easter Traditions

The White House is honoring Holy Week as a time for prayer and worship. President Donald Trump will participate in various events to celebrate Easter, highlighting the significance of the “right to religious freedom.”

According to White House Press Secretary Taylor Rogers, Trump is committed to advocating for religious freedoms and the sanctity of life. Millions of Christians throughout the nation will commemorate this time, recognizing Christ’s victory over death and the gift of salvation. The President is enthusiastic about sharing this blessed occasion with the American people.

On Wednesday, President Trump will attend the Easter Luncheon at the White House, held in the East Room.

Economic Conference and Spiritual Renewal

In an upcoming gathering, Trump is inviting CEOs to engage in an economic conference aimed at spiritually and economically renewing the nation.

The luncheon will feature choral performances by the Free Chapel Choir, along with prayers from various religious leaders, including Rev. Franklin Graham, Bishop Robert Barron, and Rev. Paula White.

Attendees will include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of the Army Pete Hegseth, and other key officials. Erica Kirk is also expected to join the event.

Later that evening, at 5 PM, White House staff will gather for a Catholic Mass, celebrated by Father Frank Mann in the Indian Treaty Room.

Upcoming Easter Observances

On Maundy Thursday, staff members are invited to a service led by prominent clergy, including Rev. Franklin Graham and Rev. Paula White. The President is also expected to issue a declaration in honor of Holy Week.

President Trump wishes Christians throughout the U.S. and globally a joyous Easter. He plans to share a video message via his Truth Social account to mark both Easter and Passover.

Passover will begin on April 1, and the White House is scheduled to host a related event on April 6, featuring Edan Alexander, a former hostage who was released after being held for over 500 days.

Trump’s administration continues to emphasize faith, highlighted by the establishment of the White House Office of Faith earlier this year to better support faith-based organizations and community initiatives.
