White House announces that teenage DOGE employee 'Big Balls' has stepped down

Teen Employee Resigns from Government Efficiency Bureau

In a recent development, a teenager known by the nickname “Big Balls” has resigned from his role at the Government Efficiency Bureau (DOGE). This resignation contributed to a larger shakeup within the department, as confirmed by an official to Fox News.

The individual behind the nickname is Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old college student and software developer. He recently mentioned to Fox News anchor Jesse Watters that the unusual name originated from his LinkedIn profile.

“I thought I’d use it as my LinkedIn username,” Coristine said, eliciting laughter from both Watters and Doge officials during the interview. “You know, people on LinkedIn take themselves pretty seriously. I hoped it wouldn’t be seen as either serious or risky, so I set it up and honestly didn’t expect anyone to notice,” he added, chuckling at the platform’s serious nature.

Coristine came under fire from Democrats and liberal media experts shortly after joining DOGE, mainly due to his efforts in investigating wasteful and fraudulent spending within the federal government. Concerns arose over government officials’ access to sensitive records.

In his chat with Watters, Coristine shared that he had scrutinized the U.S. Treasury Department’s payment system and discovered an alarming amount of outgoing payments. “One of our main goals is to eliminate fraud and waste,” he explained. “We began looking closely at these payment computers, and there was no real tracking of the payments made. For instance, one line item showed $20 million, but we really didn’t know where that money was going.”

He emphasized that the taxpayer money distribution system lacks accountability, describing it as “a huge vector for fraud, waste, and abuse.” Coristine’s resignation comes less than a month after Elon Musk’s departure from the organization. Following Musk’s exit, several other DOGE staff members and special government officials also left their positions.

Musk had been appointed to lead DOGE in January, with the ambitious goal of trimming $2 trillion from the federal budget through reduced spending and workforce sizes. A recent update from DOGE indicated that, although the original target was substantial, they managed to save about $180 billion via asset sales, contract cancellations, and fraud reduction. To put this in perspective, each taxpayer stands to save roughly $1,118.
