White House cautions about radicals gathering in Boston and other places after LA riots: 'Consider carefully'

The law enforcement efforts from the Trump administration in Los Angeles are not just impacting California Democrats but also resonating globally.

The White House has signaled that Los Angeles’ strict stance on violent radicalism will extend across the country.

When asked about an upcoming gathering of radicals, Abigail Jackson, a White House spokeswoman, remarked to Blaze News, “Anyone attempting to replicate violence and chaos in California should reconsider their actions.”

Jackson added, “President Trump will always prioritize the safety of American citizens, especially in light of ineffective Democratic leadership.”

Last week, U.S. immigration and customs enforcement conducted operations targeting several legal businesses in California. This was reportedly aimed at David Fuerta, the local union president for service employees, who was arrested on Friday.

In Los Angeles, protesters clashed with police and federal agents, obstructed major thoroughfares, and even set parts of the city ablaze, responding violently to the ICE enforcement efforts, leading to looting across downtown.

On Saturday, President Trump called in the National Guard to safeguard federal personnel and property during the unrest, emphasizing that the attempts by “violent, rebellious mobs” to disrupt ICE operations only bolster their resolve.

In the wake of the riots, Democratic leaders including Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, as well as Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senator Ed Markey, directed their ire toward lawful individuals rather than criminals. California Governor Gavin Newsom not only criticized the president but also stood in solidarity with immigrants.

Relatedly, the White House has issued a direct response to Governor Newsom after the Democratic leader challenged Homan to make an arrest.

Since then, Democratic PACs and left-leaning organizations have made efforts to pressure federal lawmakers for an end to ICE operations. Meanwhile, the SEIU and other labor unions have mobilized their members to participate in demonstrations advocating for immigration law enforcement and the release of federal detainees.

The Massachusetts chapter of the 50501 Movement, a left-wing anti-Trump protest group, echoed calls for solidarity, urging allies to take to the streets, framing the recent brutal immigration enforcement actions as a significant moment of resistance.

One protester stated, “The response from the Trump administration feels like a declaration of war.”

The 50501 group also organized a rally at Boston City Hall, focusing on calling for Massachusetts Governor Healy to use her executive power to prevent federal troops from being deployed in the state.

Protesters participated in a rally that drew support from various local leaders, criticized the actions of immigration enforcement, and highlighted the federal agents’ tactics as out of line.

In addition to gathering protests in Boston on Monday, the 50501 movement has called for a nationwide demonstration on June 14, dubbed “There’s No King.”

The event is described as a response against government overreach, where citizens are urged to stand against actions that infringe on civil rights and liberties.

Kylie Bemis, a 50501 organizer, characterized the protest as “an attack on American freedom,” adding, “The right to free speech and the fair legal process must be safeguarded above all else.”
