White House criticizes Democrats as ‘extreme’ after House approves ‘one significant, impressive bill’

Press Secretary Critiques Democrats, Supports Tax Legislation

White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt stated on Thursday that Democrats are becoming “more radical than ever” and are not addressing the needs of the American people. This comment came after the House of Representatives passed a significant tax and spending reduction bill early that morning with a narrow vote of 215-214.

“Every Democrat in the House of Representatives voted against these common-sense and widely supported policies,” she remarked. “This big and beautiful bill represents the final piece needed for America to enter a golden age. The Senate should move quickly to send it to President Trump for his final signature.”

Leavitt expressed her approval of the legislation, claiming it would provide the “largest tax cut in American history” for middle-class families, the working class, and small businesses. She added that it includes “the biggest border security investment ever” aimed at permanently securing borders, removing at least one million illegal immigrants yearly, and enhancing resources for border patrol agents.

Democrats foresee that Trump’s “big and beautiful bill” could endanger their positions to many Republicans.

Notably, two House Republicans, Rep. Thomas Massey from Kentucky and Warren Davidson from Ohio, voted against the bill alongside the Democrats.

When a reporter inquired Thursday if Trump believed those lawmakers should be removed from Congress, Leavitt responded, “I think he does.” She continued to express that Republicans need to unite and implied that most trust President Trump.

She also mentioned, “The president’s approval rating is currently the highest it’s ever been because he knows how to deliver. Republicans like Thomas Massey should exercise caution.”
