White House Responds to NYC Council Member’s Allegations Against Trump
The White House has taken a stand against New York City Council member Chi O-se, who accused President Trump of being a “pedophile” due to his name appearing in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.
White House press secretary Abigail Jackson criticized O-se’s comments, suggesting he should focus his inquiries on Democrats instead. “This individual, seemingly obsessed with Trump, should question representatives like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett about why Epstein sought money and meetings even after his conviction,” she stated.
During a recent City Council meeting, members of the Brooklyn Democratic Socialists made the claim that the Trump administration removed the rainbow flag from the Stonewall National Monument to divert attention from the Epstein controversy.
O-se, who co-chairs the council’s LGBTQIA+ caucus, implied that Trump’s actions might be a tactic to shift focus away from his alleged associations with Epstein, saying, “I want to remind everyone that Donald Trump may be doing this to distract from the fact that he is involved in the Epstein file.”
Interestingly, newly released FBI documents show that Trump had reached out to the Palm Beach police chief in 2006, expressing appreciation for the inquiry into Epstein and advising him to concentrate on Ghislaine Maxwell, described as Epstein’s “evil” accomplice.
In a display of defiance, some New York Democrats placed another Pride flag at the Stonewall Inn, a key historical site for the gay rights movement, shortly after the Trump administration supposedly removed the flag.
City Councilwoman Vicki Palladino defended Trump during Thursday’s session, stating, “Calling a sitting president a pedophile is completely ridiculous and completely outrageous, because if you look at the Epstein files, there are a lot of names in there.”
O-se quickly retorted, “They’re pedophiles, too!” which prompted Majority Leader Sean Abreu to call for order as tensions rose.
