White House holds a briefing for kids on take your kids to work day

On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt faced a variety of curious questions from an audience in the briefing room.

Some of the questions ranged from the President’s favorite McDonald’s order to his top ice cream choice, and even which president he admires most.

The event coincided with a “Take Your Child to Work” day, where the White House welcomed the children of journalists and staff. First Lady Melania Trump engaged with the kids in the Rose Garden, who were busy with arts and crafts, while Leavitt hosted a special briefing for the young visitors eager to know more about the President.

One child asked, “How many people did he fire?”

Leavitt chuckled and mentioned that only one person had resigned, emphasizing that the staff had been functioning well so far.

In response to another inquiry, a spokesman noted that Trump enjoys McDonald’s burgers and fries.

When asked about his favorite ice cream, Leavitt recounted seeing Trump enjoy an ice cream sundae topped with chocolate sauce.

Leavitt also inquired about which superpower the President might pick, saying he would likely want to “snap his fingers and fix the country’s issues.”

Another child wanted to know who Trump’s favorite president is, to which Leavitt speculated, “I think he’d probably say George Washington.”

As a new mother, Leavitt was also asked how she manages her responsibilities at work. She pointed out that her baby was with her in the building.

“It’s a daily challenge,” she admitted, “but it’s a blessing to have this opportunity while being a mom. It’s all about learning to prioritize your time.”
