White House labels Jack White as 'past his prime' after Trump Oval Office remarks

White House Responds to Jack White’s Criticism

The White House has expressed disapproval of former White Stripe frontman Jack White after he criticized President Donald Trump’s new Oval Office decor on Monday.

Stephen Chan, the White House Communications Director, reacted to White’s comments branding the golden decor as “magic” and “vulgar,” arguing that the singer is past his prime. He stated, “Jack White has been washed away. Clearly, he has time on his hands for a stagnant career, as evidenced by his social media rants.”

White’s criticisms came in an Instagram post that showcased images of Ukrainian President Voldy Zelensky and Trump meeting to discuss peace in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. Instead of focusing on the diplomatic talks, White targeted the ostentatious gold accents displayed in the office.

He remarked, “Look at how disgusting Trump has transformed the historic White House. Now it’s like a dressing room for a flashy professional wrestler.” White also made a jab at Trump’s ambitions, stating, “I can’t wait for a UFC match on the front lawn. He’s almost turned into a character from the film ‘Idiocracy.'” This seemed to allude to an upcoming UFC event planned for the White House grounds next year.

In addition to the gold ornaments added to the office, Trump has made other adjustments, including new wall art featuring copies of the Declaration of Independence. There’s also mention of plans for a ballroom in the White House.

Chan continued to denounce Trump’s design choices: “Seeing his poor taste, one might wonder how he ever got a nuclear code. The gold-plated Trump Bible is quite visible on the mantle, flanked by Trump shoes.”

White took the opportunity to praise Zelensky, calling him “the true leader of the country,” while reiterating his past criticisms of Trump. Notably, White had previously engaged in legal action against the Trump campaign for using the “Seven Nation Army” riff during a campaign rally.

This isn’t the first time White has called out Trump. In the past, he has spoken against various public figures associated with the president, labeling them in terms he finds quite severe.
