Biden issued a statement on Dec. 1 announcing that he would waive Hunter's sentence on two federal cases involving federal taxes and felonious firearms charges and pardon his son. The pardon also covers all potential crimes that Hunter “committed or may have committed” between January 1, 2014 and December 1, 2024.
