White House Responds to Harris’ Remarks

The White House issued a strong response to former Vice President Kamala Harris after she described some members of the current administration as “crazy mothers.” This remark came during a speech at a private event in Los Angeles, which quickly gained traction online.

White House Press Secretary Khush Desai pointedly suggested that Harris should reflect on her own behavior, stating, “Kamala Harris should listen to a recording of herself giggling before she calls someone a lunatic.” This comment followed a video of Harris criticizing the Trump administration during an event on Monday.

“There are so many things in this moment that make people feel like they’ve lost their minds. In fact, these moms are crazy,” Harris remarked during the “Day of Irrational Conversations” event. She also referred to her ongoing book promotion, calling it the “Freedom Tour.”

Although she didn’t mention the Trump administration directly, her comments were made in the context of discussing her memoir, *107 Days*, which recounts her experiences during a tumultuous election in 2024 where Joe Biden dropped out, leaving her to lead in a bid to prevent a second Trump term.

“One reason I wrote this is because I believe history will remember this moment,” she said to attendees. “It’s important the narrative is told in my words. We’re not just bystanders; we are part of this history unfolding.” She emphasized the emotional weight of current events, encouraging creators to reflect these feelings in their work.

Harris is currently on a book tour, making stops in various cities, including New York and Houston, before heading to Canada and the U.K. in the coming weeks. The Los Angeles event was not officially part of her tour schedule but was a significant gathering of cultural influencers.

Critics, particularly from the Trump camp, have long ridiculed Harris for her public persona, often referring to her laughter as “word salad.” Trump himself has previously commented, calling her “Kamala Laughing,” and has noted a change in her demeanor during her campaign.

“She’s worse than Bernie Sanders,” Trump said in a Fox News interview shortly after Biden’s withdrawal from the race. He remarked on her transformation, recalling her laughter but suggesting that someone must have advised her to refrain from laughing entirely.

Fox News Digital reached out to Harris’ office for comments regarding her “crazy” remarks and the subsequent White House reaction but did not receive a response.
