The White House has shared the latest MRI results of President Donald Trump following requests from unsuccessful vice presidential candidate Tim Walz and certain media members.
After Trump mentioned he had an MRI scan in October, claiming the results were “perfect,” media interest peaked. This became a point of contention, particularly after Trump referred to Walz as “grossly retarded” concerning immigration policy.
However, the speculation was resolved during a press conference Monday. White House press secretary Caroline Levitt announced the results, having read portions of the doctor’s summary.
“Let me share this with you,” she stated, clarifying that the MRI was part of a routine evaluation for men of Trump’s age regarding cardiovascular and abdominal health. Overall, the imaging tests showed that his cardiovascular system is “very healthy” and abdominal images were deemed “completely normal.”
The advanced imaging tests were part of a thorough annual physical exam, aimed at identifying any early issues, confirming general health, and ensuring Trump’s long-term vitality. The results indicated no narrowed arteries, impaired blood flow, or heart abnormalities. The heart chambers and blood vessel walls appeared normal, with no signs of inflammation or clotting. Overall, his cardiovascular system appears very healthy, and his abdominal images also indicated good health for all major organs, functioning within normal limits without acute or chronic concerns.
The statement concluded that such detailed evaluations are standard for a president of Trump’s age and confirmed he remains in good health.
This announcement follows Walz’s call for the MRI results in response to Trump’s criticisms.
In a recent Truth Social post, Trump commented on the influx of Somali refugees into Minnesota, describing it as a troubling situation and asserting that Somali gangs pose a danger to residents. He also specifically criticized Governor Walz, suggesting that residents feel unsafe and trapped.
Trump further remarked on Walz’s leadership abilities, questioning his competence in light of ongoing problems in the state.
In response, Walz simply requested the MRI results without engaging in a detailed defense of his stance.
Currently, Walz faces criticism amid allegations related to a significant fraud scandal involving state government employees in Minnesota.
