Kay Adams Opens Up About Dating Life on Podcast
NFL broadcaster Kay Adams has been a prominent figure in football programming for the last ten years, and she recently shared her thoughts on dating in a podcast appearance.
During her conversation on “Bussin’ with the Boys,” the 39-year-old discussed her love life, what she’s seeking in a partner, and how she feels ready to settle down after some self-reflection.
So, what prompted this newfound desire to date? She explained, “I don’t think I really knew what I wanted. I was often in survival mode, always wondering what was next. But now, I feel content and calm. I think I can be there for someone else.” It seems, maybe, a shift in mindset has contributed to her readiness for a relationship.
Adams acknowledged that her dating history is somewhat limited, emphasizing that she is looking for a genuine relationship rather than just casual experiences. “I’ve got very little dating experience. Once you show interest, it feels like we’re already together by the first date,” she noted, adding, “In all my relationships, the first date feels like it starts now.”
Interestingly, she mentioned her most recent first date was awkward, where she found herself questioning the other person’s job rather than genuinely connecting. As for what she envisions for an ideal first date, Adams prefers something low-key: a cozy dinner where the man pays. “Romantic outings should ideally be entirely planned by men,” she added.
When asked about the qualities she seeks in a partner, Adams highlighted the importance of intelligence, wit, loyalty, and a sense of safety. She made it clear that while she’s open to dating, she is, well, just enjoying herself for now.
Adams previously hosted NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” from 2016 to 2022 before moving on to create her own show, “Up & Adams” on FanDuel TV.
