The 2024 election will forever be remembered as one of the most important political statements American voters have ever made.
For the first time since the dark days of the Obama era, there is no doubt at all who won the presidential election.
The mainstream media may not have died on election night, but they were rushed to hospice care.
There were no hanging chads in Florida. There have been no reports of large-scale election fraud. There are no cries of “Russia, Russia, Russia!”
There was nothing there but big, beautiful red waves. And with that came a mission for change.
The American people were speaking, and their voices were loud and clear.
They want to end the chaos at the border.
They want parents to take responsibility again for their children's education and public schools to stop indoctrinating them with insane ideas about socialism and basic biology.
They want prices to go down and wages to go up.
They want peace in Europe and the Middle East, not weak leadership and frivolous ties to nuclear war.
Much will and should be said about the Republican Party and Trump Administration 2.0 in the coming months. They have a unique opportunity to show Americans why free-market, pro-liberal policies work, and in the process usher in a new era of Reagan-like confidence in the conservative movement.
I hope they don't mess it up.
But this isn't about a landslide Republican victory. I don't want to talk about it, but winner. I would like to talk about loserno, not just the current vice president.
kamala harris
Kamala Harris was a disastrous candidate. She was the perfect toxic political cocktail of bitterness, anger, radicalism, and entitlement. She did nothing to earn the position of president. It was party elites, not Democratic voters, who chose her, and even they didn't want her.
Although Harris lost to Trump in a historic landslide, she cannot be considered the night's biggest loser. In life, she far exceeded her own talents and achievements.
In fact, I would argue that Mr. Harris should be proud of himself. Of all the least talented people in American history, Harris has managed to reach farthest in her life and should be celebrated for her accomplishments.
Harris is an underdog, don't get me wrong. But she is not the biggest loser of the 2024 election.
Democratic Party
Of course, a good case could be made for the Democratic Party as a whole. Not only did he lose the White House, he also lost control of the Senate and his chances of taking control of the House.
Democrats have a much stronger case as the night's biggest losers. In the 2024 election, the politician himself suffered a gunshot wound to the head. For eight years, the Democratic Party has become increasingly radical in its economic and social policies, relegating its core demographic to the welcoming ranks of the pro-freedom movement.
If there's one thing we can say for sure about the mainstream media, it's that they did everything in their power to stop Trump.
The Republican Party has become a big tent of ideas. It is now the party of Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump, Thomas Massey, and Rand Paul. and Ted Cruz. This is an astonishing statement, one that seemed impossible eight years ago.
What's more, early exit polls show Mr. Trump doing much better with groups that typically vote Democratic, such as young Americans and Latinos. This appears to have been a particularly big problem for Democrats in battleground states, but more data is likely needed to know for sure.
But things went badly for Democrats and their donors. People who have spent well over $1 billion It's to help a bad presidential candidate lose in a landslide in the Electoral College. In our quest to find the election's biggest losers, there is another, more pathetic group that deserves to take the top spot.
And the “winner” is…
For more than eight years, one group tried harder than any other to defeat Donald Trump, but on election night, that effort proved to be a dismal failure.
The biggest losers of the 2024 election will undoubtedly be the so-called “mainstream” media, including the country's largest newspapers, magazines, news and commentary websites, and television stations.
The left-wing national media organizations that have dominated America for decades, from the New York Times and the Washington Post to the alphabet soup of propaganda networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC, are now history. It's nothing more than a relic. . It's the kind of thing you hang on your office wall for nostalgia's sake, but it can no longer be used meaningfully.
In the past, major media was important. They were once the go-to news source for most Americans, even if they shouldn't be. But no more. The mainstream media may not have died on election night, but they were rushed to hospice care. And the disease appears to be terminal. they won't work.
If there's one thing we can say for sure about the mainstream media, it's that they did everything in their power to stop Trump.
They spread malicious lies about collusion with Russia. They promoted endless conspiracy theories and outright lies, such as the infamous Charlottesville “very fine people” claim.
They promoted a completely unreasonable, often unconstitutional and unethical campaign for President Trump.
They collaborated with governments to pressure technology companies and silence free speech.
They have largely ignored the myriad scandals and failures of the Biden-Harris administration, from significantly larger issues like the Biden crime family scandal to smaller but surprising moments during Biden's disastrous years. (For some reason, Americans still We don't know who left the bag of cocaine at the White House. )
They disingenuously and outrageously suggested that Trump and many of his supporters were sympathetic to fascism. left side of the American political spectrum. They created this outlandish, bizarre, and downright stupid relationship between Trump and the Nazis.
They even inspired a crazy person to fire at Trump, miraculously only grazing his right ear.
And they tried to kill everyone who stood by Trump personally, professionally, and financially.
But despite all of that, and more, the anti-Trump conservative nationally aligned media has failed spectacularly to keep Trump out of the White House. Thousands of fake news articles, opinion pieces, disastrous TV appearances, and biased research didn't help.
There are many things we can learn from the 2024 elections, but the biggest and most provocative of them all is that the establishment media turned out to be an outdated, dying, and ineffectual institution. .
This analysis is no longer an opinion, as some people think; empirical facts. If hundreds of media outlets can't work together to bring down one man, if they can't do it after nearly a decade of trying, then there's no chance they can.
We have entered a new era of media and journalism, and it couldn't come soon enough. To be sure, this new era is not perfect. But at least we can say that the elite's stranglehold on news, information, and culture has finally been lifted.
And no matter where you fall on the ideological spectrum, that's something worth celebrating.
