Whoopi Goldberg says ‘I work for a living’ on ‘The View’ — and even far-left pundits are saying she’s woefully out of touch

“I appreciate that people are having a difficult time, and I'm the same way. I work for a living,” he said.

Oh, oh. But she wasn't done yet. The outspoken co-host of a far-left talk show said, “If I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't be here, right? So I'm a working person, right?…I get it. “I am,” he added. It's tough outside. ”

“She made it seem like she was in pain and didn't have any other options… Every day she really picks herself up and just goes to a lot of physical labor.”

Regarding Goldberg's contract extension with “The View” in 2016, Variety reported “She will continue to earn her current annual salary in the $5 million to $6 million range.”

Not coincidentally, at the end of her grueling stint in Manhattan, Goldberg reportedly She crosses the bridge back to her bustling community in northern New Jersey. There, a nearly 10,000-square-foot “Georgian Colonial-style mansion” with eight bedrooms awaits her. Goldberg reportedly bought the place in 2009 for the low price of $2.8 million.

So, as you might imagine, when people learned of Mr. Goldberg's comments about the plight of “workers,” there was an outpouring of head-shaking outrage.

But perhaps the most eye-opening response came from Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uyghur, hosts of the far-left show Young Turks. Neither was satisfied with Mr. Goldberg's words.

“Oh, you work for a living, so you can't say, 'I know your pain,' as if you were someone who wasn't that wealthy,” Uyghurs react did. “What you have to at least acknowledge is, 'Look, guys, I get it. I'm rich, I used to be poor, but I haven't been poor for a long time. But, you know, here's the thing. How I can relate. To be honest, it's not a problem, right? But I'm worried about my grandchild while making it seem like I'm barely getting by.”

Ms. Kasparian added, “She made it seem like she was in pain and…like she really picked herself up every day and was just going to do a lot of manual labor. I wonder if he stuck to it…'' he added. That part was ridiculous…she's not a working class American. ”
