Goldberg touted her continued contract as co-host of “The View,” without specifying how long, and slammed Trump, saying “no one wants her.”
“I signed a contract and I know where I’m going, so I’m going to be here for the next few years where I’m wanted,” she retorted, cutting to commercial.
A meme shared by President Trump on Sunday depicts a distorted photo of Goldberg with the text, “Next time I’m definitely moving to Canada!”
Above the meme, the Republican presidential candidate wrote, “Canada doesn’t want you, Whoopi, no one wants you!!!”
Goldberg has not vowed to flee the country even if Trump wins the 2024 election. However, in January 2016 she indicated that she intended to leave the United States if Trump was elected.

“I’ve always been an American, this has always been my country, and we’ve always been able to argue,” she said on “The View” at the time. “And now, all of a sudden, it’s becoming a situation of, ‘It’s not them, it’s not them.’ And I have a lot of friends whose parents don’t want to see this over and over again. So I think all We need candidates to return to American values.”
“I don’t think it’s America. I don’t want it to be America,” she added. “Maybe it’s time for me to make a move.”
Other celebrities, including Chelsea Handler, Snoop Dogg, and Miley Cyrus, also vowed to leave the country if President Trump was elected in 2016, but most celebrities who made such pledges failed to follow through. Ta.
