Whoopi Goldberg Addresses Epstein File Mention on “The View”

On a recent episode of “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg acknowledged her name appearing in Jeffrey Epstein’s documents, clarifying any possible associations with the convicted sex offender.

Goldberg emphasized the need for transparency, asking for an email to be displayed on screen. “My name is on file,” she stated.

The email from 2013 reportedly discusses a request for a flight to Monaco, claiming that “John Lennon’s philanthropy is paying for it.” Goldberg clarified that the email was intended to reference Julian Lennon’s philanthropic efforts, and it involved a query to Epstein about using a private jet. In the documents, Epstein’s response was noted as, “I don’t think so.”

Co-host Joy Behar pointed out that Goldberg’s message highlights how “anyone could be on this list.”

Goldberg elaborated, saying, “People say they’re trying to change me; I was never his girlfriend or even his friend.” Behar humorously remarked that Goldberg was “too old” for Epstein. Goldberg replied, “Not only am I too old, but it’s a completely different time. People used to know the facts before they spoke!”

When Behar shifted the conversation towards Trump’s ties to the file, Goldberg insisted she was focusing on her own experience.

“I’m talking about myself because I’m being dragged along,” she said, expressing frustration over assumptions about her involvement. “Every guy I’ve been with has been written about,” she noted, reinforcing her point that she never boarded the plane in question.

Goldberg further emphasized that a request had been made for her to take the flight for an event related to Julian Lennon.

Meanwhile, co-hosts continued to explore the implications of the released Epstein files, which became a focal topic both before and after the Justice Department began unveiling them. Attorney General Pam Bondi recently confirmed that all Epstein-related documents have been disclosed as per the Epstein File Transparency Act.

The announcement included a list of over 300 notable individuals, ranging from President Donald Trump to Barack and Michelle Obama, among many others.

The letter from Bondi detailed that the released names consist of persons who are or were government officials or politically exposed individuals, noting their appearances in various contexts within the files.
