For those who don't know (or just want a refresher), Vassos is a novel by Jerry Turner. Golden Bachelor Just an episode into season three, she was pulled from the competition due to a family emergency. After making a big impression during the group date talent show, she and Turner had a deep conversation over dinner, where she revealed that her hometown daughter had given birth just 15 days prior. Turner and Vassos left the dinner feeling very hopeful about their relationship, but the next morning, cameras captured Vassos sobbing on the phone as her daughter was in distress after a C-section. Next thing we know, the school administrator from Rockville, Maryland was crying as she said goodbye to the other contestants.

As mentioned in the previous article, Vassos told Turner that she had to become a mother and thanked her for giving her the first deep romantic relationship she had felt since her husband died. “I know, I understand, but I can't express how disappointed I am,” Turner said with tears in her eyes. “I was so excited I got out of bed this morning and danced. I'm so glad we were able to have this conversation. We have common moral values and doing the right thing can sometimes be the hardest thing to do.” The two hugged each other, cried, and said goodbye. Turner continued to cry outside the mansion after Vassos left.
Following the incident, Vassos released a statement on Instagram: Golden Bachelor Reflecting on her experience, she shared additional information about her departure. “I really thank everyone for the concern for my family. I am honored to be a mother to four amazing children and grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren (who call me JoJo),” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “But once you're a mother you're a mother and sometimes the timing just isn't right for love. My family is doing well and I hope that one day I'll find love again. 🌹” And thankfully, she now has that chance!

But Jerry listened to me, he gave me confidence, he made me stand out again, and I left feeling like I needed love and deserved it.”
