Why does black America hate Candace Owens?

Candace Owens’ departure from the Daily Wire appears to have sparked further hostility towards her, especially when it comes to the conservative black community.

why?

This is the subject of a conversation between Jason Whitlock and Shemeka Michelle.

Owens has come under fire for using the phrase “Christ is King” in a conversation about the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine. Many have called her use of the term “anti-Semitic” and it is no surprise that she has openly criticized Israel’s war in Gaza, but she has also questioned the authenticity of her Christian faith. There is.

“When I saw her say this, [Christ is King] I couldn’t believe it for the first time a few months ago. Because she had never said anything like that before,” Shemeka says. But “I think sometimes people find Christ and suddenly become very energized and passionate about it.”

Jason agreed, saying, “I think it’s possible she’s just on fire for Christ right now. Even if she makes some mistakes, I give her grace.” I want to,” he added.

Last week, Owens was interviewed on The Breakfast Club, a podcast hosted by Charlamagne Tha God, and apparently the political commentator did poorly on a quiz that touched on various aspects of black culture. Because of this, it seems like they missed an opportunity to connect with the black community.

Additionally, on March 15, Owens spoke with Joe Budden on the “Joe Budden Podcast,” in which he criticized certain black artists in the hip-hop community, including Lizzo, Ice Spice, and Sexy Red. However, this only inflamed public opinion. Accused Owens of being “anti-black.”

But Jason believes much of the animosity towards Owens is a result of jealousy.

He says some of these attacks on Candice are simply jealousy stemming from the attention and opportunities she gets.

In addition to jealousy, Shemeka believes there may be other factors behind her hatred for Candace Owens.

“The fact that Candice isn’t married to a black man means a lot of black people will ask, ‘If you love me.’ [black men] So why didn’t you get married? ” she says to Jason.

However, Jason says that Candace is[limited her] “The dating pool with black people is pretty great,” considering her political affiliation.

When asked on “The Breakfast Club” why she spoke openly about her black family when she married a white man, Candice explained that she and her husband were intellectually compatible and it was love, not race, that led to their marriage. did. Of course, many took this as a disdain for the IQ of black men.

“I thought her answers were transparent, appropriate, and in no way disrespectful to black people,” Jason says.
