Is the idea of a “global conspiracy” just a conspiracy theory, or is it true?
Award-winning journalist Alex Newman thinks he may have the answer.
“First of all, I think there are two traps that can easily befall these issues,” Newman said. Glenn Beck“There’s a chasm and some people have fallen into that chasm. These individuals and organizations are so powerful that they virtually think they have god-like powers.”
“That’s ridiculous,” Newman continues. “They’re not God. They’re not in control of things.”
Another “trap” people fall into when discussing “global conspiracies” is that “there’s nothing to see here.”
“This isn’t just some blue-chip nonpartisan think tank,” Newman says, referring to the Council on Foreign Relations. It’s not just an innocent gathering, but not all of the elites involved are “evil conspirators who want to enslave humanity.”
“This is a real group. They’ve had a huge influence on policymaking in the United States for generations,” he explains.
These global groups are home to many benevolent elites, but also many bad actors.
Glenn says those behind it feel “the public just doesn’t get it.”
So they need the media on their side.
“We teach it to the media, and then the media can help teach it to the public,” Glenn explained from their perspective, calling it “un-American” and a “brainwashing center.”
One of the words taught to the media and the American people was “conspiracy.”
“It’s a term the CIA has tried to popularize as a laughing stock,” Newman explains. “The word ‘conspiracy’ simply means two or more people acting in secret for an immoral, illegal, or evil purpose.”
“We’ve been trained like Pavlov’s dogs, conditioned to recoil in fear whenever someone utters the word ‘conspiracy’,” he added.
Americans are now conditioned to ignore any truth that someone has labeled a “conspiracy theory.”
“We live in a world where the truth is no longer a defense,” Newman said.
