Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver Hudson had no interest in having Kurt Russell adopt them as children.
In their episodes, Podcast “Brothers Fuss”Oliver revealed that Russell had offered to legally adopt him when he started dating her mother, Goldie Hawn, in the 1980s.
“Kurt came into my life when I was six, five, six years old, and he basically raised me,” Oliver said in the episode.
The “Rules of Engagement” actor, 48, solo-hosted the episode along with guests Tish Cyrus Purcell and Brandi Cyrus. born during her mother's first marriage She was married to drummer Baxter Helson and later adopted by Billy Ray Cyrus.
In the conversation, Oliver revealed that when Russell came into his life at an early age, the star immediately took on the role of father figure and was willing to make it official on paper.
“There was a moment where he asked us, me and Kate, if we wanted to adopt and we said 'no,'” Oliver said.
