Why Mets may struggle to plug their new area of need

The Mets look better, but suddenly, they seriously need left-handed relief. Their two main pen southpaws, AJ Minter and Danny Young, revealed they had injuries that allowed them to be put aside throughout the season.

The hope is that just signed Brooks Laurie helped them promote another veteran, Genesis Cabrera. There's a slim picking there. If the injured oriole falls further, Keegan Akin and Gregory Soto may make sense, but most non-contenders lack a strong pen left wing.
