Yesterday, South Korean President Yun Seok-Yeol declared martial law for the first time in 50 years. Immediately after the declaration, police and armed forces gathered around the parliament building. Riots of citizens gathered in protests, and opposition politicians tried to break through a military blockade to reach voting stations and overturn Mr. Yolu's decree.
Video footage captures a struggle between angry civilians and heavily armed military personnel. Thankfully, tensions did not escalate and martial law was quickly overturned.
But this incident, however brief, serves as a warning to all Americans.
“Worldwide, [South Korea is] It ranked first in education, first in soft power, fifth in military power, and sixth in innovation. This is one of the most developed countries in the world, so why do we see the military taking to the streets and uprising against its own people? “ask Sarah Gonzalez.
She further pointed out that the South Korean government has a very similar structure to the US government, with one significant exception.
“There is no bill of rights in South Korea, so there is nothing to prevent the government from seizing its power,” Sara says.
South Korean citizens are already “very limited in the number of guns they can own,” and even if they purchase a weapon legally, they must “keep it at a police station when not in use.”
“Tell me how that helps when the police are coming at you and they won't let you go to the police station to get a civilian-owned gun,” Sarah says. Our Second Amendment never existed. “Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, and all these leftist tyrants … would have already tried something like this.”
“Let's do this [incident in South Korea] This serves as a great reminder of how bad things can be when we allow the government to chip away at our Second Amendment rights. “Of course, that's what the left is trying to do,” she warns.
