Members of the Chiefs Kingdom have their own theories on why Travis Kelce had to move his suite at Arrowhead Stadium from its previous location after he started dating Taylor Swift.
Swift made his first appearance in a Chiefs home game on September 24, 2023, against the Bears.
1 season ticket holder told the Kansas City Star All the security needed around Swift, one of the most famous people in the world, made it a bit of a nightmare for fans sitting at the front of the suite.
Since then, fan safety has been a consideration.
“In the end, there were about eight Jackson County sheriff's officers and over 18 Arrowhead troopers (members), and they still couldn't deal with the incident.” [crowd influx]'' Pam Hatcher told the Kansas City Star. “It was a mess. I left with about 10 minutes left in the third quarter because I was worried about getting trampled.”
Hatcher, who is sitting in the same section as the original suite location, noticed that Kelce's suite was eventually moved from No. 121 to No. 119, two sections up. She says fewer fans have access to this section.
“You can only access it from the elevator, you can only access it from the club level,” Hatcher said. “She (Swift) went directly to 911 in the same suite she's been in ever since,” Hatcher said. “It's gotten a lot better. We're all calm about it.”
Swift is expected to be in attendance again at Arrowhead on Saturday afternoon when the Chiefs play the Texans in the AFC regional round for their historic third straight Super Bowl victory.
