The Giants hold the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
It is the eighth time the Giants have picked in the top 10 in the last 11 years, and the G-Men will be picking in the top 6 for the sixth time since 2018.
That’s not the kind of pattern the NFL franchises want, but that’s where the Giants are.
The silver lining means there will be an opportunity to draft the franchise’s cornerstone at Lambeau Field on Thursday night.
The odds maker believes the player will become Pennsylvania stud defender Abdul Carter.
BETMGM Sportsbook came third overall on April 17th, but his odds have since been reduced to -600. That price has an implicit probability of 85.7%.
Travis Hunter is his second favorite to go to the Giants, third place with +400.
No. 3 Overall Pick Betting Odds
| player | Odds |
|---|---|
| Abdul Carter | -600 |
| Travis Hunter | +400 |
| Chedur Sanders | +850 |
| Jackson Dirt | 66/1 |
| Ashton Janti | 80/1 |
Hunter is currently an overwhelming favorite to go to the Browns at No. 2, but there is an outside chance that Cleveland will choose quarterback Chedure Sanders at the spot.
If that happened, the Giants could instead go with Hunter, the two-way star of Colorado.
For most of the 2024 season, it seemed like a natural conclusion that the Giants would target quarterbacks in this position, but general manager Joe Shane probably hinted at the team by signing Russell Wilson and Jamis Winston in the offseason.

Carter’s odds at this point are too short to join, but if you’re looking for fun Giants-related bets, you can bet some chaos in Round 1.
It’s worth remembering that this is a long shot so you’re unlikely to win, but I would rather sprinkle some small things on this road, rather than putting serious juice on Carter.
Pick: Travis Hunter drafted the third overall number (+400, betmgm).
