The calm audio revealed the moment when a New Jersey woman called for help from 911 after a maniac neighbor shot her and her husband.
Jill Kwatkoski and her husband Tom were seriously injured when neighbor John Adammo, 54, suddenly fired outside her Jersey Shore home Tuesday afternoon after an apparently years of feud.
“Get a cop here, I'll bleed and die,” the suffering wife cried out at 911 audio. Retrieved by NBC4.
“You can't leave your child,” she continued. “If that's the case, tell them I love them.”
Not long ago, Jill told the dispatcher that she feared her husband was already dead outside the Drake Drive home in Berkeley Township.
“My husband, I think he's dead outside and my feet are killing me,” his wife said. “I'm on my left foot – my husband is at least three rounds. What a mess.”
“There's blood everywhere,” she added.
When the dispatcher asked what type of gun his neighbor fired, Jill replied. It looked like a rifle. Please hurry. ”
Officers said Adammo was a militant alcoholic who was in a known feud with the victim as he was standing outside the house around 4:45pm.
He then fired a gun at the couple's house and attacked his wife while she stood inside.
After firing, Adamo retreated to his mansion, where he barricaded for two hours before eventually committing suicide, officers said.
The SWAT team flocked to the facility during a dramatic standoff, and eventually blew through the Adamo's front door out of their waist and walked inside.
Neighbors were evacuated temporarily after authorities found a pressure cooker in Adamo's bedroom, but the New Jersey police bomb squad later discovered that the device was not equipped to explode.
Meanwhile, both couples were airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, initially listed in significant but stable condition.
