Husband’s Choice Leads to Massive Bedroom TV
When a wife lets her husband pick out a TV for their bedroom, she probably imagined something sleek and stylish. He, on the other hand, had more ambitious ideas—like an IMAX experience.
Lauryn Wyndham Franks decided she was done making choices and handed over the TV selection to her husband. Since the video was posted on TikTok on July 22, it has amassed over 9.9 million views.
Instead of the chic setup she had in mind, the Texas couple ended up with a gigantic 98-inch screen that could easily serve as a drive-in movie theater.
“I honestly didn’t mind what he got, just as he didn’t concern himself with the furniture I picked,” she noted.
Commenters on TikTok had a lot to say—some were amused, others took it as a chance to defend his choice. One person quipped, “I don’t need a jumbotron in my bedroom!” while another joked, “Did he buy this from the wild wings of Buffalo?”
Supporters argued he showed restraint, given the available wall space, while others pointedly remarked, “This isn’t a theater; people sleep here.” One user even suggested, “Now he’s destined to host a family movie night in your bedroom.”
A common realization emerged: “You really left a man unsupervised to buy a TV.”
This isn’t the first time the internet has buzzed about the choices made when a wife lets her husband take the reins on home decor.
Another individual shared their story about their husband and son, revealing a humorous moment: “I left my son with my husband for two days, and when I returned, the first thing my son said was, ‘Can I have sheets in my bed again?'” The wife clarified that the clean sheets had been left in the dryer.
This led to some frustrations, like “This is why men are hesitant to marry.” Others expressed disbelief, commenting, “Men shouldn’t use bed sheets!”
However, the original poster defended her situation, stating, “I handle laundry, my husband handles groceries, and we share cooking and cleaning. Honestly, I’m not sure if he even cares about the clean sheets.”
For the record, she emphasized that her marriage is thriving: “My husband and I are madly in love. We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary this August.”
So, whether it’s a bedding dilemma or an oversized TV choice, the takeaway seems to be crystal clear: it’s probably best not to leave the decor decisions entirely up to an unsupervised man.
