Wild video: Rampaging male uses skid loader to smash police cruiser, other vehicles in multiple parking lots

A rampaging man was caught on video using a skid loader to destroy police cars and other vehicles at multiple parking lots in Lincoln, Nebraska over the weekend.

What are the details?

Around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to a business near 73rd Avenue and Pine Lake Road where 36-year-old Samuel Paylot was driving a skid loader and damaging vehicles in the parking lot. Ta.
told KKLN TV.

Peiro then went to a hardware store near 70th Street and Nebraska Parkway and rammed the skid loader into a squad car after officers arrived on the scene, police said.

The officer exited his cruiser and drew his weapon, KKLN said, adding that police quickly took Peirault into custody without firing a weapon.

Witness Zachary Martin joked in an interview with the station: “I think Nebraska is the new Florida. You're going to see headlines everywhere that say 'Nebraska Man.'”

Police added that the man in the truck sustained minor injuries in the incident, and that Paylot caused damage to two nearby businesses and multiple vehicles, the department said.

Police told KKLN that Paylot's employer owns a skid loader, adding that the suspect brought the skid loader to the gas station in a company-owned truck and trailer.

The department says the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
