When it comes to opinions on sports, I tend to support the idea that everyone has the freedom to reveal their feelings. I may not agree with it, but if you back it up with irrefutable evidence, I'll listen to it.
That said, the idea that Will Levis is the frontrunner for 2024 NFL MVP is so absurdly ridiculous that you have to believe Levi voted for him. that's exactly what happened When The Athletic's NFL Player of the Year was announced.Levi received 2 votes.
This year has definitely been a down year for passers around the NFL, so you might think that maybe Levi has flown under the radar and is worth taking a chance on. What I'm here to tell you is, no, no, he's not. Even in the recesses of the minds of the craziest long-odds bettors on this planet, or any other, trying to make a buck on the stupidest bets imaginable.
Here's what Will Levis has done so far in 2024.
- 604 passing yards (28th in NFL)
- 4 passing touchdowns (tied for 17th in NFL)
- 6 interceptions (tied for most in the NFL)
- Completion rate 68.5% (16th among successful candidates with 50 or more attempts)
- Passer Rating 72.8 (29th among passers with over 50 attempts)
- Titans have 1 win and 3 losses this season
The only thing I can think of is that the opposing team did this as a joke because he helped them win. Either that, or Levi votes for himself and convinces one of his Titans teammates to join him in making a bad decision.
I'm all for letting you grow, especially if you really like him, but there's no need to lie here. Levi became hot trash in 2024, as did Anthony Richardson, who somehow got two votes.
We used to be a decent country.
