of Tennessee Titans Had Chicago Bears Tennessee was in a bind in Week 1 on Sunday. They led 17-0 at the end of the second quarter. The Titans defense blunted Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams' debut with consistent pressure up the middle, and Will Revis and the Tennessee offense were unable to get past the plate. win They had to go into the game with all their might to avoid losing.
In the end, it was over. The Bears beat the Titans, 24-17, behind a ferocious comeback from defense and special teams. Chicago wasn't able to score a touchdown on offense, but a blocked punt that was returned to the end zone and an interception-six to Revis in the fourth quarter gave the Bears the lead and the game-winning touchdown.
Revis' interception was the worst. On third down and six, Revis threw the ball down the sideline right before he was sacked, and the ball flew into the hands of Bears cornerback Tyriq Stevenson, who held onto it until the 60th minute. An unforgivable mistake under any circumstances, but this was an especially stupid one because the Titans were just going to punt anyway on fourth down with the Bears' offense waning. Get the sack!
Revis' reaction made this entertaining play even more entertaining: Revis went full surrender cobra as Stevenson running back attempted the pick-six: Watch the interception here:

Here's a great feature on the history of the Surrender Cobra from Fox Sports..
After the game, new Titans head coach Brian Callahan said that if his team had punted successfully on first down and 10 yards every time, they probably would have won.
He's right, but it still hurts to hear him say this.
Titans head coach Brian Callahan:
“If we had punted on first-and-10 every time, we might have won the game.”

Well, at least the Titans defense is great, and Will Revis and the offense can only get better.
