(NEXSTAR) – Most mail carriers will be closed this week before the holiday season gets into full swing.
The U.S. Postal Service will be closed Thursday in observance of Thanksgiving, a federal holiday. USPS carriers will no longer be on the route, and caller and PO box services will no longer be available.
The only service available from USPS is Priority Mail Express, which also delivers on Sundays and holidays.
All USPS services will return to normal on Black Friday, which is not an official holiday.
Private carriers UPS, FedEx, and DHL handle Thanksgiving differently. UPS celebrate thanksgiving Due to the holiday, there will be no pickups or deliveries other than Express Critical Services. Everything will be back to normal on Friday.
Similarly, FedEx is closed on most Thursdays. (Excluding custom criticals). On Black Friday, FedEx offices will reopen, but FedEx Express service will be modified.
DHL will be closed on Thursday as it is a public holiday.
Amazon too package not delivered Thursday.
