Willie Robertson looks after his seven grandchildren alone on 'Duck Dynasty: The Revival'

Willie Robertson Embraces New Chapter in Life

Willie Robertson is finding new ways to fill his time. After stepping down as CEO of the Duck Commander Hunting Company, he now refers to himself as “officially semi-retired.” The latest episode of “The Duck Dynasty: Revival” showcases Willie managing all seven of his grandchildren without any additional help.

In this episode, Willie’s wife, Cory, expressed doubt about his capability to handle that many kids by himself. She even arranged for a mother to stand by outside in case Willie needed assistance. “Now, Willie is completely ‘semi-retired,’ and he lost his heart thinking he was going to take care of all his grandchildren at once,” Cory remarked. Willie’s response was in line with his go-big-or-go-home philosophy: “So I’ll take it all,” he said.

Willie amusingly noted that his grandson has taken to calling him “Dubbs,” while their grandmother gets called “KK” or “K-Mama.” In a lighter moment, Cory visited Si Robertson, another veteran of the show. Si claimed to have been hunting Bigfoot and even suggested that they could use “smell radar” to track him down. Who knew hunting came with such peculiarities?

The revival series premiered on June 1, expanding on the family’s journey and introducing the next generation. It seems the Robertson family is embracing this new chapter with open arms. Willie now leads the Commander Duck Hunting Company, founded by Phil Robertson in 1972. The original “Duck Dynasty” series aired from 2012 to 2017, gaining widespread popularity.

Sadly, this revival comes shortly after the announcement of Phil’s death. On May 25, the family shared that they lost him after months of health struggles, which were revealed during a podcast episode that discussed his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Willie mentioned Phil had been facing various health challenges, including blood disorders and back pain, complicating his condition further.

Phil’s wife, Miss Kay, has also been dealing with health issues following his passing. Willie highlighted that she hasn’t been well and that the family is trying to lend as much support as they can. The loss of Phil has understandably weighed heavily on her, leading to her absence from the revival’s premiere event.

As for the future, “Duck Dynasty: Revival” is set to continue airing on Sundays, allowing fans to take part in the Robertson family’s evolution. It appears they are navigating this transition with both heart and humor, making the best of their circumstances.
