Willie Adams is heading to San Francisco.
The star shortstop agreed to a seven-year, $182 million contract with the Giants on Saturday. According to the Post's Jon Heyman.
The contract is the largest in Giants franchise history, surpassing the $167 million contract signed in 2013 by Buster Posey, who was hired as San Francisco's president of baseball operations in September.
Adames, 29, is coming off the best season of his seven-year career with the Brewers, hitting 32 home runs, 112 RBIs and stealing 21 bases (all career highs).
Adames has batted .248/.322/.444 with 150 home runs, 472 RBIs and 51 stolen bases in 880 career games.
After spending his first three-plus seasons with the Rays, Adames was traded to the Brewers in May 2021.
His career began in Milwaukee, where he hit 107 home runs and earned National League MVP votes in 2021 and 2024 for the National League Central club.

Heyman reported that The Braves and Dodgers were also “aggressive pursuers.” before Adames reached a contract with the Giants.
The Yankees were also interested in the shortstop.
Adames is the top shortstop on the market and was one of the best players at the free agent position this winter.
