Wisconsin highway collision leaves 5 dead

Five people were killed when a pickup truck and a car collided on a highway in central Wisconsin.

The head-on crash happened around 11:25 a.m. Sunday on Highway 60 in the town of West Point, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.

Five people were reported killed in a vehicle crash in West Point, Wisconsin on Sunday.

The car appears to have crossed the center line of the highway and entered the path of the pickup truck.

The 70-year-old man driving the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 17-year-old man, and his two passengers, aged 62 and 42, also died at the scene. A 26-year-old man who was in the car died at the hospital.

The town of West Point is located approximately 53 miles northwest of Madison.
