Authorities have reported that a teacher from Wisconsin, Abigail Faust, is accused of abusing a 16-year-old boy. This comes after she was already in trouble for allegedly kissing a younger student.
Faust, who turned 15 last year, seemingly began to target the teenage boy shortly after that. She thought they were in a committed relationship and even discussed the possibility of having children someday, as noted by local reports.
At 24 years old, Faust is aware that her actions are wrong. She admitted to feeling “grossed out” by the abuse, according to various reports. After her arrest for the earlier incident with the fifth-grade student, she allegedly confessed her feelings for the teenage boy she had been watching.
The parents of the teenage victim, who had hired Faust as a caregiver since 2021, reached out to other families of victims before going public, as detailed in court documents.
Previously, Faust, who taught at Rivercrest Elementary School, faced charges early in August for failing to protect a child, causing mental harm, and other related offenses linked to her inappropriate actions with a student.
Another child’s allegations suggested that Faust, who was aware of prior abuse, did not intervene when needed. This negligence reportedly led to her resignation from the school a few months ahead of her own arrest.
Text messages exchanged between victims indicated discussions about Faust and the abuse they experienced. Court documents revealed that Faust had trapped the boy after class, pushed him against a wall, and kissed him on the cheek.
The victim reportedly endured emotional trauma as a result of these inappropriate relationships, leading to severe anxiety. When asked about his feelings towards Faust, he expressed a desire to never see her again, according to court records.
River Crest Elementary School representatives have yet to provide comments on the situation.
Faust remains incarcerated on a $200,000 cash bond.
Meanwhile, a related case involves Madison Bergmann, who is awaiting trial on multiple charges, including first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13. She has pleaded not guilty.
