Witnesses claim the suspect in the Devil's Den double murder looked at them with a 'death stare'

A couple visiting Devil’s Den State Park on the day of a double murder claimed they experienced what they described as a “death stare” from a suspect linked to the crime. This was the couple’s first outing with their two daughters. Tony Brueski, who hosts the “Hidden Killers” podcast, shared details from the couple, stating that they encountered a man resembling 28-year-old Andrew James McGan just minutes before the tragic incident.

According to their account, the couple, along with their siblings and dogs, noticed a man heading toward them who seemed out of place. “It felt very unsettling,” Brueski quoted them, mentioning how the man’s odd behavior and the way he looked gave off “bad energy.”

Later, they identified him from a photo released by authorities. This suspect, Andrew McGan, is accused of murdering 43-year-old Krisen Brink and her husband, Clinton, who was 41. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect’s car with duct tape covering its license plate, leading Brueski to believe this might have been a premeditated act.

“His attire and the large backpack made him appear prepared for something,” he noted, which only added to his concerns about the overall situation.

Meanwhile, Colonel Mike Hagar emphasized during a press conference that there is no evidence suggesting that the couple was specifically targeted, stating it seemed like a random occurrence. He confirmed the tragic details of the event, where two young girls, aged 7 and 9, were tragically stabbed while hiking. Fortunately, they were unharmed and are with family.

Hagar also mentioned McGan had injured himself during the attack, and investigators linked blood found at the scene to him. He stated that McGan had confessed to the crime, with DNA evidence supporting his involvement. “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but we’ve matched DNA from the scene with his,” Hagar explained.

McGan was arrested while getting a haircut at a barbershop in Springdale. He faces two counts of capital murder, with a court date set for later this month. The incident, which took place in that remote area of Arkansas, has deeply affected the community.
